What I'm doing with my most successful writing site

I spent a few years building a hub of books and reading resources on my site: Become a Writer Today.

I wrote some of the articles myself and commissioned many more with a team of writers.

These author profiles, book round-ups, listicles, and reviews were accompanied by content on the craft of writing, YouTube videos, podcast notes, and more.

Google tanked my site two years ago leaving me with a ton of content… and no traffic.

I experimented with trying to go viral with the content on social media, which was even riskier and more stressful.

I haven’t spent much time working on the site since then, as I moved to client work and running this newsletter instead.

I still keep an eye on the niche space, and my working theory is the Google algo prefers sites that go deep into a single topic.

I also wanted a way to present the content I'd invested to a more niche audience than people searching for random writing advice.

So, I fired up a blazing-fast site, Reading Curator, and moved over the most relevant content about books and reading.

If you’ve ever finished a great book and wondered “what should I read next?”, this ne site is for you.

What you’ll find:

  • 500+ detailed guides about your favorite authors
  • AI-powered book recommendations tailored to your taste
  • Interactive tools to discover your next favorite read
  • Deep dives into genres, character archetypes, and literary timelines
  • Whether you’re hunting for the next Agatha Christie or want to explore new territory - Reading Curator makes discovery effortless.

I’d love to know what you think! Reply and let me know what authors you’re obsessed with right now.
