The Creator’s Yin and Yang
Hi Reader, My worst days start with X notifications, swiping on Instagram, and doomscrolling. Before I know it, it’s 10.27, and I’ve wasted the most valuable part of my day. My best days start with opening up Ulysses and writing a few hundred words. Or turning on a camera and recording a video. If I get into a good rhythm, I can knock out a few daily emails for my newsletter before launch, an article for my site, or a week’s worth of social media content. My worst afternoons start when I worry about money, invoicing, and bills. (Or when I try trading on the stock market.) Before I know it, I’ve done everything but the key activities that nudge my business forward. My best afternoons start when I present the right offer to the right people. Or when I get an email from a happy client. Once I get into a good rhythm, I can either help a client with a problem in their business or make some money for myself. The point of tension between creating and selling? That’s where a creator can thrive. You see… I’ve followed variations on a single theme for years: Work on your craft in the morning. Work on your business in the afternoon. If you know when to create and when to sell, you can run a creator business that’s fun and profitable. Now, getting that balance right isn’t always easy. If you’re struggling, I can help. Ideas to Cash: Available today only Write on, |
