ChatGPT Canvas is a game-changer for creators

Hi Reader,

Using ChatGPT for content generation feels like playing a frustrating game of squash.

I shoot a prompt into ChatGPT.

It spits content back at me.

I tell ChatGPT the content isn’t good enough and lob it back with a new prompt. And we go backwards and forwards till I finally get something I can use.

That’s all changed with Canvas mode, which ChatGTP rolled out a few weeks ago. Now, I can work on content in real time with ChatGPT.

It feels more like a writing assistant that adapts in real time to your playing style. I show how it works in this video.

When I send emails like this, some readers write in to say they don’t like AI. One reader unsubscribed because of my "blatant support of AIā€.

I get that. Squash isn’t my favorite sport either, but AI isn’t going anywhere. I could pretend I’m an ostrich… or figure out how these tools work.

As useful as Canvas mode is, here’s my stance on Chat, Claude Perplexity, Gemini, and Grok. Use them as assistants to plan and ideate. Then add the one thing AI can’t EVER generate.

Authentic personal stories.

Write on,
Bryan Collins
