Big mistake writers make with AI

Hi Reader, I was on Threads the other day. Fun social media network. Nice user interface. No ads No bots. And no trolls like X (yet). I found a post from a writer on Threads. He says he doesn’t use ChatGPT to get ideas or to write posts. Instead, he proudly publishes content that reads like a journal. And it’s 100% human. He even created an image of a stamp saying “100% human”. He labels his content with it. Sounds great, right? (I’m all for personal writing) Well, maybe not. I don’t recommend writing a simple prompt for ChatGPT and using what it spits out…as is. Nobody wants to read that. But not using AI to help you write is like passing up on an opportunity to work with a world-class writing assistant. Do you need an assistant? I’ve interviewed dozens of New York Times best-selling authors for my podcast. The big ones hire personal research assistants to help them plan their work. The problem? Most writers can’t afford one. Enter ChatGPT The next time you create content with ChatGPT. Consider the results as a piece of research. Except it’s from your much more affordable robot assistant. You can rewrite it. Add personal stories and insights. And give it a personal touch. Turn bland, boring AI content into something only you can write.
