I’m a big Strava user. For the uninitiated, It’s like social media for running and cycling nerds. Nail a workout, upload it, and get kudos from your running and cycling buddies. They recently squeezed AI into the product. Now Strava Intelligence is summarizing my workouts with mindless platitudes like “solid long run” even if I spent half the workout gasping violently on the side of the running track. Like a trainer who says “good job” after every set, generic AI feedback adds no value. So, I smash the “unhelpful” button whenever I can. Every SaaS product is slapping AI on the tin these days. Shareholders love hearing about AI, even if it makes no sense. I went on ProductHunt and found several thousand tools listed under the AI category. They were boldly promising things like “Powerful AI in your pocket”, “The future of AI” and “Create impossible video.” Surely all these apps can’t be changing the course of humanity? Most of these tools are built on top of ChatGPT or OpenAI. So why pay more? You only need two or three AI tools at best, like these: ChatGPT 4o for planning and ideation. I sometimes use Gemini, CoPilot, and specific tools like Otter, but I mostly turn to the above three. I tell clients to do the same. They can do 99% of the work. Once you understand how to write great prompts and customize AI for specific use cases, it's a time-saver. Last night, I created a custom GPT that gives me specific feedback on my workouts that’s far more actionable than what Strava is hawking. I’ve created custom GPTs for content planning and ideation. I use this to plan my content for the month. It helps me enormously when I need to create a batch. I rely on a GPT to edit, rewrite, and repurpose my social media content. I come up with ideas, and AI helps me hone them. I don’t need to pay more for fancy SaaS products to do what ChatGPT or Claude already offers. I’ve also created GPTs and Claude projects for business analysis, as I don’t want to pay for a business coach right now. I also use one that acts as an executive assistant. You can easily do the same, and you don’t need a degree in machine learning, years spent coding Python, or half a dozen SaaS subscriptions. Inside PromptWritingStudio, I’ll show you how to create custom GPTs and Claude Projects that outperform more expensive AI tools. It’s my private newsletter for creators and business owners who want to use AI for content… without selling their souls. It contains dozens of templates, prompts, and workflows that’ll get you up and running fast. Reply ‘CUSTOM’ for early access and access before prices increase.

In my corporate days, all the big execs employed executive assistants. Last time I checked, the exec assistants earned upwards of $100k per year. Nice work if you can get it. However, I’d a sneaking suspicion these exec assistants did the real work, while their bosses hopped in and out of Microsoft Teams calls in between boozy long lunches and golf games. I liked the idea of having a right hand. So, when I quit the corporate racket and started my business, I hired my first assistant. We...
First the bad news: 2032 isn’t looking hot right now. There’s a 1 in 48 chance Asteroid YR4 2024 will crash into Earth in seven years. A telescope in Chile snapped pics of the rock hurtling through space at 30,000 mph last week. Now, the rock is currently at the top of NASA’s risk list. We can expect an explosion on par with 7.7 megatons of TNT or 340 times the energy of the Hiroshima bomb. If it hits, we’re talking 8 megatons of TNT or 340 times the Hiroshima bomb. An instant goodbye to any...
